I have a 98 ITR (OBDII). I've heard that if I want to run a test pipe I can just pull the O2 sensor from the cat and wrap it in tin foil (actually aluminium foil). I want to give this a try before I get rid of my cat, but I need to know how serious it will be if it doesn't work. Will I just get a CEL or wil it throw my car into "limp mode"?
